The original monument honoring WW II veterans from Union County was erected in the Mifflinburg Community Park in 2003, with the dedication ceremony held on November 8.
Two additional monuments were added in May 2006: in honor and memory of men and women of the Korean War (left) and in honor and memory of men and women of the Vietnam War (right).
- There are 2,260 names of men and women from Union County on the Honor Roll.
- 59 of those honored paid the supreme sacrifice.
- One Medal of Honor recipient was awarded posthumously.
Bricks in the walkway may be purchased from the Union County Veteran's Foundation for $55 per brick. Applications may be requested by calling 570-524-4367 or 570-966-2311.
