Nominations

We are asking all groups – civic, event, community, church, youth, schools – to submit an adult and a youth volunteer of the month nomination.

No matter how difficult the economic situation is, 'gifting' yourself to your community is the most valuable and precious gift there is.

To those who have volunteered in the past, we say "Thank You."

To those who have not yet found their volunteer opportunity, we say "Welcome. We need you. And thanks for caring about our community."

MHRA's Volunteer Recognition Program

In 2011, Mifflinburg Heritage & Revitalization Association, Inc., (MHRA) launched its Volunteer Recognition Program.

Goals of the Program

  1. Create a webpage where groups who need volunteers can post their needs and those looking for a volunteer opportunity can search to find the job that's right for them.
  2. For those with no access to the web, call the MHRA office and we will keep a list of volunteers in search of an opportunity and do our best to connect the right person to the right opportunity.
  3. Together, one hour, one day, one project at a time, we can come together and weave the fabrics of Mifflinburg together that fill the gaps, plug the holes, provide the needs and build the networks of our community.
